Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of chest pain center establishment on the treatment of patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI).Methods A total of 269 patients with acute STEMI admitted to our hospital from January 2016 to December 2017 were selected as subjects. The patients were divided according to the time of the patients′visit. The time from January to December 2016(before establishment of chest pain center)was used as the control group(130 cases),and the time from January to December 2017(after establishment of chest pain center)was used as the research group(139 cases). The time from onset to balloon dilatation time(S2B),direct percutaneous coronary intervention(PPCI)from entry to balloon dilation time(D2B),time for thrombolytic therapy from entry to the beginning of thrombolysis(D2N),the incidence rate of heart failure during hospitalization(Killip grade≥2)and the mortality during hospitalization were counted in the two groups, and patients were followed up for 3 months. Results The S2B,D2B and D2N of the research group were shorter than those of the control group, the incidence rate of heart failure and the mortality during hospitalization were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence rate of heart failure, mortality, and other adverse events in the research group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The establishment of the chest pain center can effectively and timely treat patients with acute STEMI,reduce the mortality of STEMI,and thus effectively improve the treatment effect of patients with acute STEMI.
