Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical value of early intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation in acute myocardial infarction complicated with ventricular septal rupture. Methods A total of 40 cases with acute myocardial infarction complicated of ventricular septal rupture admitted in our hospital from January 2017 to July 2019 were selected as subjects and divided into observation group (20 cases) and control group (20 cases) according to whether they agreed to implement intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation or not.The control group was underwent routine medical treatment. The observation group was applied intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation on the basis of conventional treatment. Then the duration of the booster drug and hospital stay were compared between the two groups. The left ventricular ejection fraction and B-type natriuretic peptide levels were compared before and after the treatment. The treatment results in two group were statisticed. Results The duration of the booster drug and hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the left ventricular ejection fraction of the observation group was higher than that before treatment and the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the level of B-type natriuretic peptide in the observation group was lower than that before treatment and the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The survival rate of patients in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The proportion of patients who died or gave up treatment after treatment in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion For the treatment of acute myocardial infarction with ventricular septal rupture, the application of intraaortic balloon counterpulsation on the basis of conventional treatment can better maintain the stability of circulatory function,so it can improve cardiac function and short the hospitalization time and reduce mortality.
