Abstract:Objective To explore the effect difference of breast approach endoscopic thyroidectomy and traditional operation in treating thyroid disease. Methods 49 patients who conducted breast approach endoscopic thyroidectomy in our hospital from March 2012 to December 2015 were selected as experimental group,35 patients who conducted traditional operation at the same term were selected as control group.Operation related data, postoperative complications and patients′satisfaction to incision in two groups were observed. Results Intraoperative blood loss in the experimental group and the control group was respectively(15.98±8.80),(25.01±7.54)ml,and the difference was statistical significance(P<0.01);24 h indueed flow volume after operation in the experimental group was obvious less than that in the control group(P<0.01);length of hospital stay was obviously shorter than that in the control group(P<0.01),but average hospitalization expenses in the experimental group was obviously more than that in the control group(P<0.01).Incidence rate of complications in the experimental group was 24.49%,which had no obvious difference with 28.57%in the control group(P>0.05).Patients′satisfaction to incision in the experimental group and the control group was respectively 97.96%(48/49)and 14.29%(5/35)(χ2=61.388,P<0.05).Conclusion Breast approach endoscopic thyroidectomy has less trauma on patients, shorter length of hospital stay, faster postoperative recovery and with better incision cosmetic effect. For patients with economic conditions permit,it can be recommended as the best choice.
