Abstract：Objective To investigate the mammotome minimally invasive surgery and traditional surgery in treatment of breast masses.Methods Clinical data of 60 patients with benign breast tumor who were treated in department of surgical oncology of our hospital from March 2014 to January 2016 were analyzed retrospectively; and all the patients were divided according to different surgical treatment methods into observation group (30 cases,treatment with mammotome minimally invasive surgery) and control group (30 cases,treatment with traditional surgery).The duration of surgery,bleeding volume,postoperative scar length,healing time,postoperative complications and breast cosmetic effect were observed between two groups of patients with breast masses.Results The duration of surgery,bleeding volume,postoperative scar length and healing time of observation group were lower than those of control group;the postoperative complication rate of local hematoma,infection and deformity of observation group was lower than that of control group;the breast cosmetic effect of observation group was higher than that of control group,with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Mammotome minimally invasive surgery achieves less bleeding,faster recovery,less postoperative complications and better cosmetic effect in the treatment of patients with breast masses,which is worthy of clinical application.
