Abstract:Objective To observe relevant the risk factors of arteriovenous fistula embolization in maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods 80 patients with MHD who were given arteriovenous fistula surgery and were given long-term dialysis follow-up in the outpatient from June 2013 to June 2017 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were divided into the embolization group (n=40) and the normal group (n=40) according to whether fistula embolization occurred. The clinical data of patients and relevant indicators of arteriovenous fistula were observed.Linear regression analysis was applied to analyze the relevant risk factors caused by fistula embolization. Results The age factor, complicated diabetes mellitus, hypercoagulable state, hypoproteinemia, hypotension after dialysis and incidence in the embolization group were significantly higher than those in the normal group (P<0.05).The blood flow in the fistula was lower than that in the normal group (P<0.05).The compression time, incidence of hematoma compression after dialysis were higher than those in the normal group (P<0.05);factors such as age, hypercoagulable state, hematoma formation,post-dialysis compression time and other factors were positively correlated with fistula embolization in MHD patients (P<0.05);the blood flow during dialysis and hypotension after dialysis were negatively correlated with fistula embolization (P<0.01).Conclusion Risk factors such as age, complicated diabetes mellitus, hypercoagulable state, low blood flow during dialysis, prolonged fistula compression, hematoma compression are important reasons leading to fistula embolization in MHD patients.
