Abstract:Objective To explore clinical effect of sequential mechanical ventilation on severe pneumonia complicated with respiratory failure. Methods Clinical data of 224 patients with severe pneumonia complicated with failure respiration in our hospital from December 2014 to December 2015 were analyzed, which was divided into two groups by different treatment methods, control group(invasive mechanical ventilation treatment)104 cases and observation group(sequential mechanical ventilation treatment)120 cases.Invasive ventilation time, total mechanical ventilation time, length of hospital stay(LOS),incidence rate and mortality of respiratory associated pneumonia,HR,RR,PaCO2,PaO2when in group and PIC were observed. Results Invasive ventilation time, total mechanical ventilation time,LOS,incidence rate and mortality of respiratory associated pneumonia in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistical significance(P<0.05).HR,RR,PaCO2,PaO2between two groups when in group had no difference (P>0.05).PaO2PaCO2between two groups when PIC had no difference(P>0.05);HR,RR in the observation group was lower than that in the control group when PIC,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).HR,RR,PaCO2in two groups when PIC was lower than that when in group, and the difference was statistical significance(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in two groups in PaO2when PIC compared with when in group(P>0.05).Conclusion Sequential mechanical ventilation in the treatment of patients with severe pneumonia compared with failure respiration can shorten ventilation time and improve obviously hemodynamics,it is worth to be used.
