Effect observation of Tiotropium combined non-invasive ventilation on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary function in patients with typeⅡrespiratory failure

Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of Tiotropium combined with non-invasive ventilation on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary function in patients with typeⅡrespiratory failure.Methods108 cases of COPD and typeⅡrespiratory failure patients treated in our hospital from February 2014 to December 2016 were selected as subjects and were divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number method,54 cases in each group.The patients in the control group were treated with non-invasive ventilation,and patients in the study group were treated with Tiotropium combined with non-invasive ventilation.The dyspnea symptom scores,lung function indexs,blood gas correlation indexs and 6 min walking distance were compared between the two groups.ResultsAfter the intervention,the score of dyspnea symptoms in the study group was significantly lower than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The PaO2of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group,and the PaCO2of the study group was lower than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The FEV1,FVC and FEV1/FVC in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The walking distance of 6 min in the study group was significantly long than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionTiotropium combined with noninvasive ventilation in the treatment of COPD patients with typeⅡrespiratory failure can significantly improve the pulmonary function and blood gas index,reducing dyspnea score,improve exercise tolerance,and be worth promoting the application.
