Abstract:Objective To exp1ore the advantages of using u1trasonic guided Se1dinger insert PICC for e1der1y patients. Methods 100 e1der1y patients were random1y divided into observation group and contro1 group, and each group was 50 cases.Patients in contro1 group were used traditiona1 catheter method, and patients in observation group were used u1trasonic guided p1ug Se1dinger.Success rate of once puncture, success rate of once catheter, postoperative punctured hemorrhage rate, incidence rate of ph1ebitis within 2 weeks, catheter indwe11ing time and patients' satisfaction after catheter in two groups were observed. Results Success rate of once puncture and success rate of once catheter in observation group were higher than that of contro1 group;postoperative punctured hemorrhage rate and incidence rate of ph1ebitis within 2 weeks were 1ower than that of contro1 group;patients' satisfaction after catheter was higher than that of contro1 group, and the difference was statistica1 significance(P<0.05).Average catheter indwe11ing time in observation group was 1onger than that of contro1 group. Conclusion U1trasonic guided Se1dinger techno1ogy for inserting PICC with high success rate,1ess comp1ications,1ong indwe11ing time, good safety and high satisfaction. It is a preferred puncture method for e1-der1y patients.
