Application value of ultrasonic detection in the carotid intima -media thickness of different parts in the diagnosis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease

Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of ultrasonic detection in the carotid intima-media thickness of different parts in the diagnosis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.Methods 144 cases with hypertension,coronary heart disease,cerebral infarction (complicated with diabetes) in our hospital from November 2013 to June 2014 were selected as research subjects,and 22 normal persons were selected as the control group.All people were given color Doppler ultrasonography of bilateral carotid artery,the difference of carotid intima-media thickness of carotid artery in different groups was compared.Results 144 cases of patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,50.69% of the patients were detected carotid artery intima-media structure abnormalities,and the detection rate of hypertension complicated with coronary heart disease was higher,which was 63.33%.The value of carotid intima-media thickness in the patients group was higher than that in the control group,with significant difference (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the carotid intima-media thickness in the carotid bulb,proximal carotid artery bifurcation 1 cm and the proxima internal carotid artery (P>0.05).Conclusion Carotid intima-media thickness can provide the basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.
