Abstract：Objective To analyze the clinical effect of fluoxetine in improving depression and neurological function of patients with stroke.Methods From June 2013 to June 2014，81 cases of stroke patients in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group（40 cases）and control group（41 cases），patients in two groups were treated with conventional treatment of cerebral vascular disease，besides patients in the observation group were treated with fluoxetine.The improvement of depression and neurological function were compared between two groups before and after treatment，and adverse drug reactions were observed.Results The scores of depression and neurological function between two groups before treatment were not statistically significant（P＞0.05）.After treatment，depression score in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group，the difference was statistically significant（P＜0.05）；the neurological function defect score in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group（P＜0.05）.Patients in two groups did not have serious adverse drug reactions.Conclusion Fluoxetine can effectively relieve depression of patients with stroke，improve the degree of neurologic deficits.Clinical medication is safe and reliable and it is worth to clinical promoting and application.
