The effects of the full service clinics for primary path model in promoting fam ily medicine service

Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of the servicemodel which relies on general diagnosis and treatment as a primary service path in promoting a family medicine service,and to provide a reference to the familymedicine service for Shenzhen City and other areas.M ethods Using community health service centers as central service establishments,integrating general diagnosis,treatment,screening,classification and management of focus groups as well as follow-ups and a series of coherent services to be completed by the same team.The service model"the service model reliant on general diagnosis and treatment as a primary service path"referred to as the"primary service path".Random selections of 100 residents during the period of March 2014 to February 2015,implemented"family doctor team and specialist team coexist"mode and during the period of March 2015 to February 2016,implemented the primary service path management mode as the control group and experimental group,and the index such as the family medicine service signing rate,the signed residents′health knowledge awareness rate,the family medicine service awareness rate and the satisfaction degree of familymedicine service were compared respectively.Results In the"primary service path"model,to compare with the"family doctor team and specialist team coexist"model,the familymedicine service signing rate was increased from 11%to 67%;the signed residents'health knowledge awareness rate was increased from 34%to 92%;the family medicine service awareness rate was increased from 24%to 91%;the satisfaction degree of family medicine servicewas increased from 58%to 95%,the differences were statistically significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The service model which relys on the general diagnosis and treatment as a primary service path is good for promoting the family medicine service,and it isworth of being popularized.
