Abstract:Objective To investigate and evaluate the application value of polysomnography in the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS).Methods From December 2016 to December 2018,61 patients with OSAS diagnosed in our hospital were selected as the subjects. All patients were diagnosed by polysomnography and portable sleep monitor. The average blood oxygen saturation, minimum nocturnal oxygen saturation and oxygen reduction index of the patients examined by different monitoring methods were recorded and compared. The detection rate and severity of OSAS diagnosed by two sleep monitoring methods were counted. Results The mean blood oxygen saturation, the lowest blood oxygen saturation and oxygen desaturation inder at night were all lower than those of the portable sleep monitoring method, there were significant differences between the two groups (P <0.05).The overall detection rate of polysomnography in patients with OSAS was 100.00%,which was higher than that in portable sleep monitoring of 80.33%,there was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).The detection rate of polysomnography in patients with moderate and mild OSAS both were 100.00%,which were higher than the 72.73% and 77.78% of the portable sleep monitoring, and there were significant differences between the two groups (P <0.05).Conclusion Polysomnography can well monitor the indexes of patients with OSAS and improve the detection rate of OSAS.It is a scientific and effective diagnostic method.
