Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical application value of digital radiography (DR) and computed tomography (CT) in the diagnosis of spine burst fractures, and in order to provide guidance for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods Sixty patients with spinal burst fractures who underwent surgery in our hospital from January 2017 to May 2019 were enrolled in the study. All patients underwent CT and DR before surgery. The detection rate, examination time and examination cost were compared between the two kinds of imaging methods. Results The typical DR images of spine burst fractures were vertebral compression and flattening. CT images showed abnormal posterior margin of the vertebral body and fracture line. The detection rate of spine burst fracture in CT examination method group was 95.00%, which was higher than that in DR examination method group (51.67%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The examination time of CT examination method group was longer than that of DR examination method group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), the examination cost was higher than that of the DR examination method group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion DR can be used as a basic examination method for spine burst fractures. The combined use of CT can help to diagnose correctly and provide reliable guidance for clinical treatment.
