Abstract:Objective To analyze the improvement effect of hand function in patients with open metacarpal and phalangeal fractures treated with mini plate internal fixation. Methods A total of 54 patients with open metacarpal and phalangeal fractures treated in the Third People′s Hospital of Jingzhou City in Hubei Province from January 2018 to August 2020 were selected as the research objects. The patients were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 27 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with conventional surgery, and patients in the observation group were treated with microplate internal fixation. The total incidence of complications, operation time, healing time, hospital stay, recovery time and hand function recovery were compared between the two groups. Results The total incidence of complications in observation group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The fracture healing time, hospitalization time and recovery time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the operation time was longer than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The excellent and good rate of hand function in observation group was higher than that in control group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Miniature plate internal fixation is a common method for the treatment of open metacarpal and phalangeal fractures. It has obvious therapeutic advantages, speeds up the postoperative recovery of patients and reduces the occurrence of complications. It is worthy of clinical application.
