Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of the accelerated rehabilitation surgery concept in the emergency repair of upper gastrointestinal perforation in elderly patients and its influence on the incidence of complications. Methods From July 2018 to July 2020, 60 elderly patients with emergency upper gastrointestinal perforation admitted to Heyuan People′s Hospital were selected as the research objects and divided into the study group and the control group according to random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given routine perioperative management, while the study group was given accelerated rehabilitation surgery. The treatment and hospitalization (related index time, incidence of complications and hospital satisfaction) of the two groups were compared. Results The ambulation time, exhaust time, intake time, defecation time and hospitalization time of the study group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in total incidence of postoperative complications of the two groups (P>0.05). The total hospitalization satisfaction of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The concept of accelerated rehabilitation surgery can be safely used in the perioperative management of elderly patients with emergency upper gastrointestinal perforation, promote the rapid recovery of patients, shorten the length of hospital stay, and do not increase the risk of complications, effectively improve patient satisfaction.
