Abstract:Objective To explore the application of optimized multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment (MDT) model in the treatment of hyperthyroidism with iodine 131.Methods One hundred patients with hyperthyroidism treated with iodine 131 who were admitted to Pingxiang People′s Hospital, Jiangxi Province from July 2019 to January 2020 were selected and divided into the control group (50 cases) and the observation group (50 cases) by the random number table method.The control group was given the conventional management model, while the observation group was given the optimized MDT model.The hospitalization time, treatment cost, return visit rate and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results After intervention, the hospitalization time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the treatment cost was lower than that of the control group, with statistical differences (P<0.05).The total satisfaction and return visit rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,with statistical differences (P <0.05).Conclusion The application of optimized MDT model in patients with hyperthyroidism undergoing iodine 131 therapy significantly shortens the length of hospitalization time, reduces treatment cost, and improves patient satisfaction and return visit rate, indicating good application effect.
