Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of high-dose interferon combined with operation on quality of life and prognosis in patients with malignant melanoma of skin. Methods A total of 80 patients with malignant melanoma of skin who were treated in Dermatology Hospital of Jiangxi Province from January 2014 to January 2019 were divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with operation and low-dose interferon, and the observation group was treated with operation and high-dose interferon. The quality of life, survival rate and recurrence rate after 12 months were compared between the two groups. Results After 12 months of treatment, the scores of quality of life scale (SF-36) in observation group were higher than those in control group, the survival rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group and the recurrence rate was lower than that in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion High-dose interferon combined with operation in treatment of patients with malignant melanoma of skin can increase quality of life, decrease postoperative recurrence rate and death rate, and promote prognosis.
