Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of nursing program on the improvement of self-management ability of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM).Methods Eighty-three patients with T2DM were selected by the convenient sampling method in our hospital from April to June in 2017.The causes of poor self-management ability of these patients were analyzed by program improvement method, and individualized education was developed for the self-management behavior defect of the patients.The changes of self-management ability, fasting blood glucose (FBG) and 2 hour postprandial blood glucose (2 h BG) control after the implementation of the improvement plan were analyzed.Results After the intervention, the scores of special diet the patients were improved.The results of paired t-test showed that the differences of FBG and 2 h BG were statistically significant lower than that before intervention (P＜0.05）.Conclusion The improvement of nursing program can improve the self-management ability and blood glucose control of patients with T2DM.
