Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of low-dose Valproic Acid combined with Lamotrigine in the treatment of epilepsy. Methods A total of 110 patients with epilepsy admitted to our hospital from November 2016 to December 2017 were selected as the subjects of study.According to random lottery, the patients were divided into control group(55 cases)and observation group(55 cases). The control group was treated with Lamotrigine, while the observation group was treated with low-dose Valproic Acid combined with Lamotrigine. The clinical efficacy, duration, frequency and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the observation group(96.36%)was higher than that of the control group(78.18%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The duration of seizures in the observation group was (2.12±0.71)minutes,which was shorter than that in the control group(3.10±0.99)minutes,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The number of episodes in the observation group was(0.45±0.21)times,less than that in the control group(1.25±0.46)times,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Clinical treatment of patients with epilepsy can take a small dose of Valproic Acid combined with Lamotrigine therapy, the treatment effect is significant, can shorten the duration and frequency of attacks.Reducing the incidence of adverse reactions, and can be widely used in clinical practice
