Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of WeChat platform on health guidance in patients with epilepsy.Methods A total of 112 epilepsy patients who were discharged from January to October 2017 in our hospital were selected as subjects and randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 56 patients in each group.In the control group,a follow-up call was used for health instruction.In the observation group,WeChat platform was established to provide health guidance to family members.The follow up lasted 6 months.The drug compliance,rationality and total clinical treatment effectiveness rate were compared between the two groups.Results The total drug compliance rate(96.4%)and the total effective rate of clinical treatment (91.1%)of the patients in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(83.9%,58.9%),the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The rate of regular use(96.4%)and interval use(91.1%)in the observation group were higher than in the control group(76.8%,67.9%),the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion WeChat platform providing health guidance to family members can improve patients′drug compliance,rational use of drugs,and clinical efficacy,which is of great significance to the control of patients with epilepsy.
