Abstract:Objective To investigate the related influence factors of epilepsy complicated with mood disorder. Methods Altogether 60 epilepsy patients treated in outpatient department of neurology of Brain Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from January 2014 to December 2015 were involved as epilepsy group, and 50 cases of healthy persons who accepted health examinations at the same period was involved as control group. The general conditions, the clinical features,self-rating depression scale(SDS)and the self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)of two groups were observed.Pearson correlation analysis of SDS,SAS and clinical features and Logistic regression analysis of SDS and SAS of two groups were also observed. Results Two groups had no significant difference in gender, marital status and educational background(P>0.05).The proportion of relatively low brain 5-HT power was lower than that of normal brain 5-HT power, the proportion of seizure frequency≤2 times/year was higher than that>2 times/year,and the proportion of use of>2 antiepileptic drugs was higher than that of single drug(χ2=48.74,50.00,22.31,P<0.05).SDS and SAS score of epilepsy group were higher than those of control group(t=11.50,12.36,P<0.05).Epilepsy patients′SAS score showed a positive correlation with the number of antiepileptic drugs(r=0.328,P<0.05),and SDS score was positively correlated with seizure frequency and course of disease, negatively correlated with brain 5-HT power(r=0.209,0.214,-0.189,P<0.05);the number of antiepileptic drugs was the influencing factors of epilepsy patients′anxiety(χ2=11.024,P<0.01);and the seizure frequency, course of disease, brain 5-HT power were the influence factors of epilepsy patients′depression(χ2=10.697,10.789,-11.052,P<0.01),with statistically significant difference. Conclusion The more antiepileptic drugs the epilepsy patients take, the more possibility the anxiety will occur;the more epilepsy seizures, the longer course of disease, the lower brain 5-HT power, the more possibility the depression will occur.
