Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of pill pressing on ear point on the anxiety of patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis (MHD),and to explore the correlations between the changes of anxiety scores before and after the intervention and urea clearance index(Kt/V),hemoglobin(Hb),serum albumin(Alb),calcium, phosphorus product(Ca×P) and other indicators. Methods A total of 44 patients who were given MHD in the dialysis room in Dongzhimen Hosptial from March to October 2016 were selected. They were randomly divided into two groups.Cross-test design was applied, and the treatment was divided into two stages. Each stage lasted for 6 weeks. The treatment group (22 cases)was given pill pressing on ear point on the basis of conventional hemodialysis treatment, and the control group (n=22)was given conventional hemodialysis treatment. At the end of the first stage, after 4 weeks of elution, the two groups were crossed and the second stage of treatment was started. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA)was scored for both groups before the treatment and after the first stage of treatment,at the end of the elution period and after the second stage of treatment. The rate of reduction of score was taken as the evaluation criterion of efficacy, and the indices of Kt/V,Hb,Alb,Ca×P before and after treatment were observed at the same time.Whether they were correlated with the changes of HAMA score was analyzed. Results The score of HAMA in the treatment group were significantly decreased after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(t= 0.575,P<0.01).There was no significantdifference in HAMA score in the control group before and after treatment(t= 0.770,P>0.05);there was no statistically significant correlation between HAMA score and Kt/V before and aftertreatment in both groups(P>0.05).It was negatively correlated with Hb and Alb,namely when Hb and Alb were increased,HAMA score was decreased. The correlations were allstatistically significant(P<0.05).It was positively correlated with Ca×P,namely when Ca×P was increased,HAMA score was increased. The correlations were statistically significant(P<0.05);the total effective rate in the treatment group was 88.6%.Conclusion HAMA score is reduced after the patients with MHD are given pill pressing on ear point, suggesting that pill pressing on ear point can improve the anxiety of MHD patients to a certain extent, and the changes of HAMA score and Hb,Alb and Ca×P are correlated.
