Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of critical care professional group nursing in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and respiratory failure. Methods A total of 100 cases of COPD patients with respiratory failure admitted to our hospital from July 2017 to June 2019 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group (50 cases) and the observation group (50 cases). Patients in the control group were given routine nursing care. Patients in the observation group were given critical care professional group nursing. Blood gas analysis indexes,post-nursing recovery indexes, total complication rate, nursing quality score and overall nursing satisfaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the blood oxygen partial pressure, blood oxygen saturation,pH value, nursing quality score and overall nursing satisfaction rate of patients in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the partial pressure of carbon dioxide and the total complication rate were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The duration of mechanical ventilation,ICU stay and hospital stay in the observation group were all shorter than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion The establishment of critical care professional group has a significant effect on the nursing of patients with COPD and respiratory failure, which can significantly improve the quality of nursing and has a positive effect on the prognosis of patients.
