Clinical effect comparison of intratympanic hormone injection at different time in the treatment of total frequency type profound sudden sensorineural hearing loss

Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical effect of intratympanic hormone injection at different time in the treatment of total frequency type profound sudden sensorineural hearing loss.Methods Fifty-eight patients with total frequency type profound sudden sensorineural hearing loss treated in our hospital from February 2014 to January 2019 were selected as the subjects.According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into group Ⅰ(27 cases) and group Ⅱ(31 cases).Group Ⅰwas given intratympanic hormone injection immediately after oral administration, and group Ⅱwas given intratympanic hormone injection one week after oral administration.The auditory threshold, total effective rate and total incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Results The auditory threshold of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in auditory threshold between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).There were no significant differences in the total effective rate and total incidence of complications between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of intratympanic hormone injection at different time is similar for patients with total frequency type profound sudden sensorineural hearing loss, and it can be used according to the specific situation of patients.
