Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of comprehensive nursing on elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) complicated with shock treated by intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP).Methods Eighty elderly patients with AMI complicated by shock admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to June 2019 were selected and divided into control group and study group according to random number table method, 40 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with IABP, the control group were given routine nursing, and the study group were given comprehensive nursing. The changes of heart rate, diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure and complications such as infection, balloon rupture, gastrointestinal bleeding and puncture site bleeding before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in heart rate, diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05).After intervention, the heart rate of the two groups was lower than before intervention, and the diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure were higher than before intervention (P<0.05).The heart rate of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure were higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group (5.00%) was lower than that in the control group (27.50%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive nursing applied to the elderly patients with AMI complicated with shock treated by IABP can help stabilize the hemodynamics, reduce the risk of complications and help the patients to pass the catheterization period smoothly.
