Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of comprehensive nursing on the deep venous thrombosis (DVT) of lower extremity in elderly patients with lower extremity fractures. Methods A total of 167 elderly patients with lower extremity fractures in our hospital were selected from June 2017 to June 2018.According to random envelope method, they were divided into the comprehensive nursing group (85 cases) and routine nursing group (82 cases). All patients in the routine nursing group were given routine nursing, the patients in comprehensive nursing group were given comprehensive nursing including health education, psychological care, diet management and early rehabilitation nursing besides routine nursing.Incidence of DVT,psychological status and nursing satisfaction between two groups were compared. Results The incidence of DVT in the comprehensive nursing group was 2.35%,which was lower than 12.20% in the routine nursing group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) score after comprehensive nursing was lower than that in the routine nursing group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction score with nursing in the comprehensive nursing group was higher than that in the routine nursing group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive nursing can effectively reduce the incidence of DVT in elderly patients with lower extremity fractures, relieve patients′ anxiety and improve patient satisfaction with nursing.
