Effect of Gukangfang Granules in the treatment of senile osteoporosis

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Gukangfang Granules in the treatment of senile osteoporosis.Methods A total of 60 cases of senile osteoporosis patients admitted to Shunde Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from April 2016 to March 2019 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into the observation group(30 cases)and the control group(30 cases).The observation group took Calcium Tablets+Alfacalcohol+Alendronate Sodium Tablets+Gukangfang Granules,the control group took Calcium Tablets+Alfacalcohol+Alendronate Sodium Tablets,and both groups were treated for 3 months.The improvement of pain and the occurrence of adverse reactions in the two groups of patients were observed,and the bone mineral density before and after treatment was compared in the two groups.Results The total effective rate of pain improvement in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in bone mineral density before treatment between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).The bone mineral density of the two groups of patients after 3 months of treatment was higher than that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The bone mineral density in the observation group of patients after 3 months of treatment was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no serious adverse reactions during the treatment in the two groups.Conclusion Gukangfang Granules can better relieve the symptoms of pain,and effectively increase the bone mineral density of patients,and can be promoted and used in clinic.
