Abstract:[Abstract]Objective To investigate the selection of surgical timing for strangulated intestinal obstruction and its impact on prognosis of the disease. Methods Clinical data of 104 patients with strangulated intestinal obstruction admitted to our hospital from January 2014 to July 2018 were retrospectively analyzed, according to the time from admission to operation, patients were divided into early operation group(61 cases)and late operation group(43 cases). The early operation group received surgery within 12 hours of admission, while the late operation group received surgery for more than 12 hours. The operation mode, prognosis, total effective rate and recovery were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the proportion of different surgical metheds between the two groups(P>0.05).The rate of intestinal necrosis and mortality in early operation group were significantly lower than those in late operation group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of early operation group was significantly higher than that of late operation group (P<0.05).The time of anal exhaust, eating and getting out of bed in the early operation group were significantly shorter than those in the late operation group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the selection of operation time for strangulated intestinal obstruction, indications for operation can be expanded and the operation time should be advanced. The operational intervention should be given before intestinal necrosis as far as possible, which can help to improve the operation effect, save the lives of patients and improve the clinical prognosis.
