Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical value of blood routine, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin in the early diagnosis of infectious diseases in infants and young children. Methods All of 100 infants and young children with infectious diseases admitted to our hospital from September 2017 to October 2018 were selected as observation group.According to the different infectious diseases, the illed children were divided into observation group 1 (bacterial infection) and observation group 2 (viral infection), 50 cases in each group. Fifty healthy infants and young children who underwent physical examination in our hospital at the same period were selected as the control group. Blood routine,C-reactive protein and procalcitonin were detected in all three groups. The blood routine white blood cell count, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin levels were compared among the three groups. Resluts The white blood cell count, Creactive protein and procalcitonin levels in observation group 1 and observation group 2 were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The white blood cell count, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin levels in observation group 2 were significantly higher than those in observation group 1, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Blood routine, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin detection are applied to the early diagnosis of infectious diseases in infants and young children. The diagnosis of infectious diseases can be differentiated by white blood cell count, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin levels, providing the effective reference basis for early clinical diagnosis and treatment, clinical application value is higher.
