Abstract:Objective To study the difference of intima media thickness of bilateral carotid artery and analyze the risk factors and correlation of carotid intima-media thickness.Methods A total of 68 healthy volunteers from December 2016 to December 2017 in our out-patient department were investigated by questionnaire.The thickness of bilateral carotid artery intima media was measured by color Doppler ultrasonography,the thickness of the left and right carotid artery intima media was compared,and the risk factors for the thickening of carotid intima media thickness were analyzed by Logistic linear regression analysis,and the correlation between carotid intima media thickness and risk factors was analyzed.Results The left carotid artery intima-media thickness of all age groups were higher than those of the right carotid artery intima-media thickness(P<0.05).After single factor and multiple factor Logistic linear regression analysis,age,smoking index,blood sugar,blood pressure,blood lipid,serum CD40,CD40L and MMP-9 were the risk factors for the intima-media thickness of bilateral carotid artery intima.After correlation analysis,it was found that age,smoking index,blood sugar,blood pressure,blood lipidm,serum CD40,CD40L and MMP-9 were all positively correlated with the thickness of bilateral carotid endarteri.Conclusion The thickness of the left carotid artery intima-media is generally higher than that of the right side.The thickness of the carotid endarteri is affected by age,smoking index,blood glucose,blood pressure,blood lipid,serum CD40,CD40L,MMP-9 and so on.
