Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of using forceps in a secondary cesarean section. Methods This study selected 126 women undergoing re-cesarean section from February 2016 to December 2017.The patients were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods. The patients in the observation group were forceps during a secondary cesarean section. In the control group, fetal head delivered was assisted by the operator′s hands in a secondary cesarean section,63 cases in each group. The fetal head delivery time, neonatal Apgar score, and incidence of complications such as uterine incision tear, neonatal intracranial hemorrhage, and uterine rupture were observed and assessed. Results The fetal head delivery time in the observation group was (115.36±13.42)min,shorter than that in the control group ([132.05±16.45]min)with a statistical significance (P<0.05).The neonatal Apgar score of the pregnant women in the observation group was(8.45±1.56)points,higher than that in the control group([6.05±0.78]points),which was displayed a significant difference (P<0.05).The total incidence of maternal complications in the observation group was 0.00%,much lower than that in the control group accounting for 9.52%with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of forceps in a secondary cesarean section is of great significance. It can reduce the incidence of complications after maternal and child delivery on the basis of solving difficult delivery of fetal head, which is worthy of promotion.
