Abstract:Objective To study the value of combined detection of calcitonin(PCT)and C-reactive protein(CRP)in the diagnosis of neonatal infectious diseases. Methods Participants 44 newborns(observation group)and 44 normal newborns(control group)admitted to our hospital from March 2016 to April 2017 were enrolled in this study.Infections were collected before treatment 3 ml venous in children with disease and 3 ml venous blood in control group within 7 days after birth.PCT and CRP were measured in two groups.Venous blood before treatment and 10 days after treatment were collected in the observation group,CRP,neutrophil(NEUT)content, using Spearman rank correlation coefficient test PCT,CRP NEUT content correlation. Results The serum levels of PCT and CRP in the two groups were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).The positive rate of PCT and CRP in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of PCT,CRP and NEUT in the observation group were significantly lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of PCT,CRP and NEUT were based on the Spearman rank correlation coefficient. The results showed that PCT,CRP and NEUT were related(P<0.05).Conclusion PCT and CRP haveimportant value in the early diagnosis of neonatal infectious diseases, determine the degree of infection, and determine the therapeutic effect, and apply them to clinical practice.
