Abstract：Objective To investigate the application value of trauma index (TI) in the assessment of acute trauma patients.Methods 2168 hospitalized patients with acute trauma in our hospital from October 2012 to October 2015 were selected，the TI and injury severity score (ISS) were performed.In order evaluate the application value of TI score in patients with acute trauma，the TI score and ISS score were compared.Results The scores of TI and ISS of the survival group was significantly lower than that of the death group respectively，the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The mortality of TI and ISS was significantly lower than that of severe group respectively，the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The sensitivity of TI score was significantly higher than that of ISS，the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion The TI has a certain degree of prediction and assessment in the assessment of patients with acute trauma.It can be popularized in clinical application.
