Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of transient ischemic attack on secondary cerebral infarction and its related risk factors. Methods 160 TIA patients from April 2013 to March 2015 of our hospital were selected.Patients were divided into cerebral infarction group (n=59,group A)and non-cerebral infarction group (n=101,group B)according to whether the development of cerebral infarction.59 cerebral infarction patients without TIA were selected as group C.Pearsonsingle-factor analysis and multi-variate logistic analysis were used in group A and B to study the risk factors that from TIA to cerebral infarction.Degree of nervous functional defects and outcome scale between group A and C were compared. Results Pearsonsingle-factor analysis showed that the difference among age, hypertension history, diabetes history, coronary heart disease history, carotid plaque and hyperhomocysteinemia had statistical significance(P<0.05).Multi-variate logistic analysis showed that age, hypertension history, diabetes history and carotid plaque were the risk factors that from TIA to cerebral infarction.Degree of nervous functional defects in group A was less than that in group C (P<0.01)and the progress was better than that in group C (P<0.01).Conclusion The risk factors that impact TIA to cerebral infarction are age, hypertension history, diabetes history and carotid plaque. And ischemic tolerance after TIA has neuroprotection effect on subsequent cerebral infarction and can decrease the nervous functional defects degree of cerebral infarction patients.
