Abstract:Objective To study the clinical application value of blood platelet count(PLT),mean platelet volume(MPV),and serum procalcitonin (PCT)in neonatal sepsis. Methods From January 2014 to December 2015,80 neonates admitted into our hospital were selected as research objects and evenly divided into control group and experimental group in random. In the experimental group were included all neonates with sepsis, while in the control group were contained participants without infectious disease. The PLT,MPV and PCT in the two groups were detected and compared. Results Before treatment, the PLT was much lower and values of PCT and MPV were greatly higher in the experimental group compared with those in the control group with statistical differences (P<0.05).After therapy, the value of PLT was increased following recovery of disease, while PCT and MPV were obviously decreased, which were displayed statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Detection of PLT,MPV and PCT has certain application value on neonatal sepsis in clinic, which is worth of promotion.
