Abstract:Objective To analyze the feasibility of nursing extension service for patients discharged from cervical cancer operation.Methods Forty patients with cervical cancer who were treated and discharged from our hospital from January 2014 to February 2016 were selected as research objects.According to a random number table,they were evenly divided into control group and observation group,20 cases in each group.The control group was provided routine discharge guidance,while the observation group was additionally supplied nursing extension service on the basis of the control group.The self-care ability and quality of life at admission and six months after discharge in the two groups were compared.Results There was no significant difference in the quality of life scores between the two groups on admission(P>0.05).The scores were both increased in the quality of life 6 months after discharge and the improvement of the quality of life scores in the observation group were significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the self-care ability between the two groups on admission.But 6 months after discharge,the scores of the index were significantly improved in both groups,and the improvement in the observation group was more remarkable compared with that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing extension service can improve the quality of life in patients after cervical cancer operations and the self-care ability.It is more helpful for patients'rehabilitation and worthy of clinical application and promotion.
