Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Valproic Acid combined with Lamotrigine in the treatment of epilepsy. Methods A total of 100 epilepsy patients admitted in our hospital from January 2017 to June 2019 were selected as subjects, and they were divided into two groups by random lottery, 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Valproic Acid, and the study group was treated with Valproic Acid combined with Lamotrigine. The clinical therapeutic effect, clinical symptoms and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the number of seizures and epileptiform discharge in the study group were less than those in the control group, the duration was shorter than that in the control group, and the level of lead involvement number was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Patients with epilepsy were treated with Valproic Acid combined with Lamotrigine, it can not only effectively improve the relevant clinical symptoms of patients, but also has high safety and low incidence of adverse reactions. It is worth popularizing in clinical application.
