Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of functional exercise combined with massage intervention on shoulder joint function in patients with frozen shoulder. Methods A total of 92 cases of patients with frozen shoulder who were admitted to Fushun Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to January 2020 were selected as the research objects, and they were divide into the control group (46 cases) and the study group (46 cases) by random number table method. The control group was took functional exercises, the research group was combined massage intervention on the basis of the control group. The pain degree, shoulder joint function and range of motion were compared between the two groups. Results After four weeks of treatment, the short form-McGill pain questionaire (SF-MPQ) score in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of Constant Murley shoulder function activity scale (CMS) and Japan Orthopaedics Association(JOA) shoulder disability scale in the study group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significances (P<0.05). After treatment, the internal rotation range, flexion range of motion, rotation range and abduction range of motion of shoulder joints in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Functional exercise combined with massage intervention can relieve shoulder pain in patients with frozen shoulder, and promote the improvement of shoulder joint function and mobility.
