Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of holistic nursing intervention in blood donors by machine. Methods From May to December 2015,341 blood-donation volunteers without the holistic nursing intervention in our blood bank were selected and classified into control group. From January to August 2016,another 341 blood-donation volunteers applied with the holistic nursing as an intervention was categorized into observation group. All participants were performed with machine for blood donation. The blood donation reaction during peri-blood donation period, satisfaction degree on nursing service after blood donation by machine, and improvement of mental static indexes like SAS and SDS,etc. Before and after machine, and observing time in the blood bank after donation were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of blood donation reactions during peri-blood donation period in the observation group was lower than that in the control group with a statistical difference(P<0.05).With regard to satisfaction on nursing service during blood donation by machine, the satisfaction degree in the observation group was much higher than that in the control group, which was displayed a statistical difference (P<0.05).The score of SAS and SDS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The observing time in the blood bank in the observation group was shorter compared with that in the control group with a statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion For blood donation volunteers by machine, application of the holistic nursing intervention can effectively decrease the incidence of blood donation reactions in these volunteers, keep mental balance, and improve satisfaction degree.
