Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Chuankezhi Injection on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) complicated with respiratory failure.Methods A total of 122 patients with AECOPD complicated with respiratory failure (kidney-yang deficiency type) admitted to the Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Department of Dongguan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2019 to November 2020 were selected as the research subjects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into the treatment group and the control group,with 61 cases in each group.There was 1 case of shedding in each group and 60 cases of completion.The control group was treated with high flow respiratory humidification apparatus (AIRVO2),routine anti-infection,phlegm-reducing and anti-asthmatic treatment,the treatment group was given intramuscular Chuankezhi Injection on the basis of the control group,and both groups were treated for 14 days.The total effective rate,blood oxygen saturation (SpO2),peripheral white blood cell count (WBC),procalcitonin (PCT),malondialdehyde(MDA),superoxide dismutase (SOD),interleuk-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of WBC,PCT,MDA,IL-6 and TNF-α in both groups were lower than before treatment,and the levels of WBC,PCT,MDA,IL-6 and TNF-α in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of SpO2 and SOD in both groups were higher than before treatment,and the levels of SpO2 and SOD in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Chuankezhi Injection combined with AIRVO2 treatment can improve the clinical efficacy of AECOPD combined with respiratory failure,improve oxidative stress and inflammatory response,which is worthy of clinical application.
