Application effect of Internet+continuous nursing mode combined with peer education in the initial diagnosis of diabetic patients

Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of Internet+continuous nursing mode combined with peer education in newly diagnosed diabetic patients. Methods A total of 68 newly diagnosed diabetic patients who came to our hospital from January 2018 to August 2019 were selected,and they were divided into the combined group and the control group according to the random number table method,34 cases in each group. The control group received routine health education for diabetes mellitus,and the combined group received Internet+continuous nursing mode combined with peer education. The scores of self efficacy scale (DMSES) and quality of life specific scale (DSQL) before and after intervention were observed between the two groups. Results After intervention,the scores of diet and foot care,clinical treatment score,and exercise score in combined group were higher than those in control group,with statistical differences (P<0.05). The scores of physiological function,psychology/spirit,social relationship and treatment in the combined group after intervention were lower than those in the control group,with statistical differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Internet+continuous nursing mode combined with peer education can effectively improve self-management efficiency and quality of life of newly diagnosed diabetic patients,which is worth clinical promoting.
