Abstract:Objective To explore effect of peer education on psychological status of patients with condylomaacuminatum(CA)undergoing photodynamic therapy.Methods A total of 86 CA patients undergoing photodynamic therapy who were admitted to our hospital from March 2018 to March 2019 were enrolled.They were divided into observation group and control group by simple random sampling method,43 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing.On this basis,observation group was additionally given peer education.Both groups were continuously intervened for 3 months.After intervention,treatment compliance in both groups was recorded.The psychological status of both groups was assessed by self-rating depression scale(SDS)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS).Results After intervention,treatment compliance rate of observation group(83.72%)was higher than that of control group(65.12%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,SAS and SDS scores of observation group were lower than those of control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Peer education can further improve treatment compliance and psychological status of CA patients undergoing photodynamic therapy.
