Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of psychological nursing based on Maslow′s hierarchy of needs theory on self-efficacy and resilience of patients with lung cancer undergoing radiotherapy. Methods The clinical data of 80 patients with lung cancer undergoing radiotherapy who were admitted to our hospital from January 2015 to February 2018 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different nursing methods, they were divided into the intervention group(n=45)and the routine group(n=35).The intervention group was given psychological nursing based on Maslow′s hierarchy of needs theory while the routine group was given routine psychological nursing.Scores of the general self-efficacy scale(GSES),the Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC)and the Newcastle nursing service satisfaction scale(NSNA)scores were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 months of intervention, scores of GSES and CD-RISC of the intervention group were higher than those of the routine group(P<0.05).The scores of five dimensions(nurses′ attention to themselves, nurses′ accessibility, professional knowledge reserves, care accessibility and care efficiency)of NSNA were also higher than those of the routine group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of psychological nursing based on Maslow′s hierarchy of needs theory on self-efficacy and resilience of patients with lung cancer undergoing radiotherapy can enhance patients′ self-confidence and coping ability while facing problems, and improve their satisfaction with nursing services.
