Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical effect and safety of Donepezil Hydrochloride combined with Nimodipine in the treatment of vascular dementia, and to provide reference for clinicians to choose a reasonable drug regimen. Methods A total of 86 patients with vascular dementia diagnosed and treated in Shenyang Red Cross Hospital from January 2018 to July 2019 were selected as the study objects.According to the method of random number table, they were divided into control group and experimental group, 43 cases in each group. The control group was given Nimodipine treatment. The experimental group was treated with the combination of Donepezil Hydrochloride and Nimodipine.the clinical efficacy and safety of the two groups were compared. Results The total clinical effective rate in the experimental group (93.02%) was higher than that in the control group (76.74%), the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in the mini-mental state examination scale(MMSE) score and the ability of daily life (ADL) score before treatment (P>0.05).After treatment, MMSE score and ADL score of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), and the MMSE score and ADL score of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions of the experimental group and control group was compared (9.30% vs.4.65%), the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of vascular dementia patients, the combination of Donepezil Hydrochloride and Nimodipine has significant clinical effect, can improve the cognitive status of patients, improve their living ability, and has good safety,it is worth recommending.
