Investigation analysis of prescription reviews in our community service station

Abstract:Objective To randomly check out community outpatient prescriptions and give comments, and analyze the unreasonable drug use of the prescriptions, so as to promote the rational use of drugs by medical staff at the primary level.Methods From June 2017 to June 2019, prescriptions from eight community service stations affiliated to our hospital were randomly selected and reviewed.A total of 3600 prescriptions were collected and the reviews were analyzed statistically.Results A total of 3567 prescriptions were commented and analyzed.The use of antibacterial drugs was 21.75%, the use of glucocorticoids accounted for 11.44%.The incidence rate of unreasonable prescriptions was 7.06%.Inappropriate dosage forms and administration routes were the most common, followed by medication without indication, inappropriate selection of drugs, and unsuitable usage and dosage.Conclusion The community service station should take prescription reviews as the cornerstone.Clinical pharmacists together with the community health service office routinely conduct prescription reviews and give the feedback after the reviews to doctors in order to enhance the awareness of safe medication in doctors at primary level and promote rational clinical use of drug.
