Abstract:Objective To explore the application of health guidance intervention in the physical examinations in older adults. Methods A total of 150 older adults receiving physical examinations in our hospital from August 2018 to August 2019 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into a test group (n=75) and a reference group (n=75) according to a randomized and parallel method. In the test group, health guidance was used, while in the reference group, routine nursing was adopted. The awareness of disease knowledge, self-health awareness, self-management ability score, and total nursing satisfaction in the two groups were compared. Results The disease knowledge awareness rate, self-health awareness rate, self-management ability score, and total nursing satisfaction in the test group were higher than those in the reference group with significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of health guidance in the physical examination in older adults is remarkable, by increasing the awareness rate of disease knowledge, selfhealth awareness, self-management ability, and the satisfaction on nursing during physical examinations, and finishing the physical examination items as soon as possible, which is of great significance on clinical application and promotion.
