Abstract:Objective To investigate the changes and significance of serum homocysteine levels in patients with early cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 50 patients with early cerebral infarction admitted to our hospital from January to June 2019 were enrolled in the observation group.50 patients with non-cerebral infarction in our hospital were selected as the control group. The level of cystine(Hcy)was determined.According to the condition of patients with cerebral infarction, they were divided into mild, moderate and severe groups. The Hcy levels of the three groups were compared, and the neurological deficits of the three groups were evaluated. The relationship between Hcy and neurological deficits were analysed. Results The Hcy and neurological deficit scores of patients in the severe and moderate groups were higher than those in the mild group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Hcy and neurological deficit scores in the severe group were higher than those in the moderate group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);and the Hcy level in patients with cerebral infarction was positively correlated with the clinical neurological deficit score(r=0.81,P<0.05).Conclusion Serum homocysteine can play a positive reference value for early diagnosis of cerebral infarction, assessment of disease severity and prognosis, and it has a greater correlation with neurological deficit.
