Abstract:Objective To study clinical effect of Bacillus Subtilis Binomial Living Bacteria Granules with Multivitamins preventing diarrhea complication in pneumonia cases. Methods Fifty children with pneumonia who were admitted to our hospital from January to June 2018 were selected as the subjects and divided into control group (25 cases)and observation group (25 cases)according to the random number table method. The control group received routine symptomatic treatment, the observation group was treated with Bacillus Subtilis Binomial Living Bacteria Granules. The incidence of secondary diarrhea, occurrence time of diarrhea, stopping time of diarrhea, times of defecation and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of secondary diarrhea in the observation group (4.00%)was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05),the time of diarrhea in the observation group ([5.50±0.51]days) was later than that in the control group, stop time of diarrhea ([1.97±0.26]days) was shorter than that in the control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05).The number of defecation in the observation group was (2.23±0.79)time,which was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05),and there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Bacillus Subtilis Binomial Living Bacteria Granules can prevent the occurrence of secondary diarrhea in children with pneumonia fed artificially with high safety.
