Abstract:Objective To analyze the pathogenic characteristics and risk factors of nosocomial infection in patients with chronic renal failure. Methods A total of 100 patients with chronic renal failure admitted to our hospital from May 2015 to January 2018 were selected as the subjects, and their clinical data were analyzed, including white blood cell count, serum albumin level, preventive use of antimicrobial agents, invasive procedures, complications, length of hospital stay, gender, age, etc. The related risk factors were evaluated. Results The types of infection in patients with chronic renal failure were mainly urinary tract infection, blood circulation system infection, catheter infection, digestive system infection, respiratory infection, etc.,and the probability of respiratory infection was significantly higher than those of the other types of infection (P<0.05).The results of pathogen isolation in patients with chronic renal failure were mainly Gram-negative bacteria,Gram-positive bacteria and fungi, and the proportion of Gram-negative bacteria was significantly higher than those of Gram-positive bacteria and fungi(P<0.05).Age≥60 years, hospital stay≥30 days, invasive procedure, combined complications, serum albumin level<35 g/L,white blood cell count<4×109/L were related factors of nosocomial infection in patients with renal failure (P<0.05).Hospital stay≥30 d,invasive procedure, serum albumin level<35 g/L,white blood cell count<4×109/L were independent risk factors of nosocomial infection in patients with renal failure (P<0.05).Conclusion There are many risk factors for nosocomial infection in patients with chronic renal failure.According to their specific infection characteristics, patients should be treated with antibiotics and relevant infection prevention measures should be implemented to control the occurrence of infection.
