Abstract:Objective To investigate the application value of procalcitonin,C-reactive protein and blood glucose detection in the diagnosis of children with hand-foot-and-mouth diseases (HFMD).Methods A total of 80 HFMD children from March 2016 to October 2017 treated in our hospital were selected as the study group. They were divided into the study group Ι(n=40)and the study group Ⅱ (n=40)according to different disease conditions.Children in study group Ι were at acute stages, while in study groupⅡ,participants were in the recovery period. At the same time,40 healthy children were selected as the control group. An automatic biochemical analyzer AU640 and matching reagents were used in HFMD children and healthy children for C-reactive protein and blood glucose detection. The procalcitonin was detected by double-antibody sandwich and chemiluminescence analysis. The differences in procalcitonin,C-reactive protein, and blood glucose were compared between the two groups. Results The levels of procalcitonin,C-reactive protein and blood glucose in the study group Ι were higher than those in the study group Ⅱ and the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05).The levels of procalcitonin,C-reactive protein, and blood glucose were lower in the control group compared with those in the study groups Ι and the study group Ⅱ,with significant difference(P<0.05).In the study group(n=80),positivity detection of procalcitonin was in 25 patients,of C-reactive protein was in 32 patients,of blood glucose was in 26 patients, and of combined detection in 65 potients. In the control group (n=40),positivity detection of procalcitonin was in 2 participants,of C-reactive protein was in 4 participants,of blood glucose was in 3 participants, and of combined detection in 6 participants. The sensitivity and specificity of combined diagnosis were higher than those of single diagnosis, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The positivity rate of procalcitonin,C-reactive protein and blood glucose in children with HFMD is high.Joint application of these three tests can effectively improve the diagnostic sensitivity of children with HFMD and provide reliable diagnostic basis for clinical treatment.
